What exactly is affiliate marketing, and why should i be doing it? That’s the first question that should be answered when dealing with this brand of work-from-home, money making, business efforts. So what is affiliate marketing, online marketing, internet marketing? What’s it all about, and why is it a good way to make some money? This are pretty simple questions, but to a beginner, it can be pretty overwhelming. I like to take things in little chunks, to try not get myself completely bowled under by all the minute details. So I break things up, and it helps me to understand things a great deal better when i can take them a little bit at a time.
Very very basically, affiliate marketing (AKA online or internet marketing) is very basically a method of taking a product of someone elses (or your own) and marketing it to the public through the internet somehow. Now you are literally a salesman, marketing and trying to sell a product. The beauty of the internet is that it makes it very easy to find customers who want what you have. You simply have to optimize your stragtegy to target those folks who want what you have, who search it out on the net, and convince them why they should use your link and go purchase something. This is also called Niche Marketing, and you can figure out what you want to market, (this market you wish to advertise is the ‘niche’ you’re going for.
This is very basic Online or Affiliate marketing. Pick a product, or a niche, and using targeted marketing, pull the people into the sites and products you want them to see. Depending on what you’ve chosen to use, you’ll get paid for it when they use your link to go to another site and purchase something, when they give the other site email or zip code information, Simply click your link and go to the products site etc… get lots of traffic, makes lots of money! Internet marketing is as simple as that, in theory! It does have a quite a few complications, and it’s definitely more detailed than we’ve gone into here.
